Recreational Division – Volunteer Coaches Needed!

 

Dixie Soccer Club (DSC) is currently accepting applications for Volunteer Coaching positions for the 2026 Outdoor Season.

 

Both Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches are welcome to apply. All applicants must:

 

· Be 16 years of age or older

· Have a valid police check

 

You do not need to have a child registered with Dixie Soccer Club to be considered for a coaching position.

 

Duties of a Volunteer Coach

 

A positive, enthusiastic attitude and a genuine interest in helping children enjoy a team-based athletic experience are the only prerequisites for this role.

 

Volunteer coaches are expected to understand their commitment to their team and adhere to DSC’s Rules & Regulations, Coaches Code of Conduct, and the following guidelines:

 

· Prior to the start of the season, coaches will receive their team rosters and scheduling information via email from the club and through PowerUp. In addition to the club communicating team and schedule details to parents, coaches are expected to contact their team parent group to introduce themselves as the team coach and arrange a time and location for uniform distribution.

 

· Communicate regularly with players and parents regarding game schedules, locations, and practice information.

 

· Practices are not mandatory; however, many coaches choose to run a 30-minute warm-up prior to game kickoff or coordinate a separate practice session on a different day and time than game day.

 

· Wear appropriate DSC-issued coaching apparel, provided at the start of the season.

 

· Be committed to coaching weekly games, arrive ahead of scheduled start times, and notify players and parents if you are unable to attend.

 

· If you will miss a game, please notify your team and arrange for a volunteer to assist in your absence.

 

· Maintain an enthusiastic, supportive approach—and don’t hesitate to ask questions.
